Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026 In case of discrepancy between language versions, the Spanish version prevails.
This policy explains what personal data NIONIC collects, why, who it is shared with, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are
NIONIC is a platform that connects padel players with clubs. Clubs use it to run courts, tournaments, clinics and events; players use it to book, join, pay and follow their results.
We are a technology provider, not the sports club. The club you book with is responsible for the service it delivers on its own premises.
2. Data you give us
- Account: name, email address, username, password (stored only as a cryptographic hash — we never see it), and the language you use the app in.
- Profile: gender, country, state and city/region, playing category, and optionally a profile photo.
- Content you create: posts and their photos, comments, likes, chat messages, event names and descriptions, and the ratings you give other players.
- Payment evidence: if you pay a club by bank transfer, the receipt or reference you upload.
- Club accounts additionally provide: club name, address, phone, location on a map, opening hours, logo, and the bank or payment-processor details needed to receive money.
3. Data generated by your use
- Sporting record: matches, results, rating (Elo), rankings, attendance and no-shows, tournament and clinic participation.
- Transactions: what you paid for, when, how much, the method used, and whether it settled — we do not store card numbers; see section 5.
- Coins: in-app points earned by playing. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought and cannot be exchanged for money.
- Technical: device push token (if you enable notifications), app language, and standard server logs including IP address, needed to operate and secure the service.
We do not collect your device's location. Maps in the app show the location of clubs, which the clubs themselves provide.
4. Why we use it
| Purpose | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Providing the service | accounts, bookings, events, results, chat, notifications |
| Payments | processing what you owe a club and recording that it was paid |
| Safety and integrity | preventing double bookings, abuse, non-payment and no-shows |
| Support | answering you, and — only on a club's request — helping a club fix its own data |
| Legal compliance | accounting, tax and responding to lawful requests |
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.
5. Who we share it with
We use the following providers, which process data on our behalf. Several of them are located outside Mexico, primarily in the United States, so using NIONIC involves an international transfer of your data.
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | database, authentication and file storage |
| Google Cloud | hosting of the application server |
| Vercel | hosting of the website |
| Stripe | card payments |
| PayPal | PayPal payments |
| Google Maps | displaying club locations |
| Expo | delivery of push notifications |
| Anthropic | automatically reading the bank-transfer receipts you upload |
| Banco de México (CEP) | verifying that a SPEI transfer actually arrived |
Card and bank details are handled directly by Stripe and PayPal under their own privacy policies. They never pass through, and are never stored on, our servers. Payments for club services go directly to the club.
Other players and the clubs you interact with see the information you would expect them to see: your name, username, photo, category, results, and the content you publish. Club staff can see the payment status of players in their own events.
We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect rights, safety or property.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and profile data: while your account exists.
- After you delete your account: your personal data is erased or anonymised. Records of completed matches and results may be retained in anonymised form so that other players' rankings and history remain correct.
- Payment and invoicing records: kept for the period required by Mexican tax and commercial law, even after account deletion.
- Chat messages: retained while the conversation exists; deleting your account removes you from it.
7. Your rights
Under Mexican law (LFPDPPP) you may access, rectify, cancel or object to the processing of your personal data (ARCO rights), withdraw consent, and request a copy of your data. If you are in the European Union, you additionally have the rights granted by the GDPR, including portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from Settings → Delete account in the app. For anything else, write to privacy@nionic.app. We respond within the period required by applicable law.
8. Children
NIONIC is intended for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly create accounts for minors. If a minor takes part in a club's clinic or tournament, the club — not the platform — collects and manages that data, with the consent of the parent or guardian. If you believe a minor holds an account, contact us and we will remove it.
9. Security
Passwords are stored hashed and never in readable form. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is restricted, and administrative actions on a club's data are recorded in an audit log that the club itself can read. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change, and we will change the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
