Player guide

Getting started

  • Sign up with your name, a unique @username, email and password. Pick your country and state and your starting category (1–6, 1 = strongest) — categories are per-region and get locked in once you play there.
  • Use the eye icon on password fields to check what you typed.
  • The app works in 7 languages — switch from the flag menu at login, on this help page or in Settings.

Discover

  • Search players and clubs by name or @handle.
  • The map shows every club with a location pin — tap one to open its profile.
  • Stores, looking to play and invite a friend live here too.
  • Events are no longer here: they all live on the Events tab.

The Events tab

  • One list for everything you can play: matches, 6 locos, clinics and tournament categories.
  • Filter by Past · Today · Upcoming · Pending · Last minute — one at a time. Pending is anything waiting on you: an invitation to answer, a seat to confirm, a spot you can claim, an unpaid share. Last minute is a seat someone released on an event starting later today.
  • Only events I'm in narrows the list to yours. It is forced on for Past and Pending, forced off for Last minute, and your choice the rest of the time.
  • The location chip shows which state you are looking at. Change it and the app asks how many days you are travelling (up to 7), then reverts on its own. A permanent move lives in Settings.
  • Pending and Last minute carry a count badge when there is something in them.

Looking to play

  • Raise your hand from your profile or from Discover: pick the days and times of day that suit you, or leave them empty for "any".
  • Your hand stays up for 7 days. Players near you and in your category range see it on Discover, and you see theirs — filter that list by day and time of day to find someone for a specific slot.
  • Tick last-minute alerts to hear when someone releases a seat near you; narrow it to free spots only if you prefer.
  • Open it again any time to change your selection or to stop looking.

Booking a match

  1. Pick date, time and duration — only clubs with a free court at that exact slot appear. A club with a free court that doesn't take bookings at that exact time is shown separately, so you can see it and adjust.
  2. Choose the club and court.
  3. Pick Public (anyone within ±1 of your category can join) or Private (you invite your partner and opponents; on friendlies you can add guests by name for people who aren't in the app).
  4. Pick Friendly (no rating impact) or Competitive (Elo rating updates, 4 real accepted players required).
  • Invited players must Accept the invitation before they count.
  • The creator records the score. On competitive matches the other players have 24 h to Dispute a wrong result — the club then corrects it.

Joining, leaving and waitlists

  • Joining inside the last 24 hours is binding — you can't simply leave. You can still sell your spot or give it away, and whoever takes it replaces you.
  • Earlier than that you can leave; the app confirms first, because your seat may go straight to the waitlist.
  • Waitlist: queue when an event is full. If a seat frees more than 24 hours before the start it is offered to the queue first — the person at the front hears immediately, and one more player is offered it every hour until someone takes it. Leave the queue and the offer passes to the next person at once. Inside the last 24 hours the seat is open to anyone.
  • Some clubs set their waitlist to fill automatically instead: the first person in the queue is simply seated.

Releasing your seat

  • Can't make it? List your seat. Choose whether whoever takes it pays your share (you are off the hook) or whether the spot is free to take (you still owe your share).
  • Listed seats appear for eligible players, and under Last minute when the event starts today. Claiming one seats you on the listing's terms.
  • You can take a listing back while nobody has claimed it.

6 locos

  • Formats: Americano (rotating partners), Mexicano (pairings follow the standings), Fixed teams.
  • Join an open event from the Events tab, or book your own (date/time → club with free courts → number of courts → optional category limits).
  • In fixed teams you pick a partner, and they must accept — unless the club seated you both, in which case the club vouches for the pair.
  • Round 1 can only start 30 minutes before the event, because it freezes the roster: after it nobody joins or leaves, and only swaps are possible.
  • Scores are entered per court each round (side A's games; side B auto-fills).

Clinics

  • Coached sessions for up to 6 players. Enrol from the Events tab, or queue when it is full — the waitlist rules above apply here too.

Tournaments

  • Register into a category with a partner (search them, or leave the partner as TBD and complete later). Your partner must accept.
  • Standard N categories admit categories N and N+1; Suma N admits pairs whose categories add to N or N+1; Open and Pro-Am have their own rules.
  • Registering in a region for the first time declares your category there — the app asks you to confirm.
  • Win a category and you may get a promotion offer; go out in groups and you may get a demotion offer. Accept or decline from your profile.

Paying fees

  • If an event or tournament has a fee, a fee card on its page shows your share (the fee split between players — tournament fees split in half per partner).
  • Pay by card (Stripe) or PayPal if the club accepts it; some clubs also take cash at the desk and mark you paid.
  • Club credit is money you hold at one club, from a cancellation or from a refund the club chose to give as credit. It is spent automatically against your next fee there.
  • Money goes directly to the club.
  • If the club cancels, it decides what happens to money already paid: a refund to your card or PayPal, club credit, or — for a late cancellation the players caused — the club may keep it. You are told either way. If you cancel your own paid booking you always get club credit.
  • Once you have paid you can't simply leave — but you can list your seat and hand it on. A club can't remove a paid player without refunding first.
  • Clubs can flag non-payers; some clubs block flagged players from booking until it is cleared.

Memberships

  • Some clubs sell a membership: 30 days during which the court fee is waived on matches you book there, sometimes up to a number of bookings per day. Buying again extends it.

Store

  • Open the Stores tile in Discover to browse what clubs (and the platform itself) sell — filter by country/state, search by name and sort by price.
  • Pay by card or PayPal. Platform products additionally ask you to choose a pickup club near you.
  • After paying you get a 6-character pickup code — show it at the club desk to collect your item. That single code check completes the delivery.
  • Track every purchase under "My store orders" (status, code, receipts).
  • Refunds are possible until the item is handed over — after that the sale is final.

Results, ratings & stats

  • Competitive results move your Elo rating (everyone starts at 1000).
  • Stats shows your record, rating trend, global and regional rank.
  • After a finished match you can rate whether opponents' categories felt right — enough agreeing votes nudges their rating.
  • You also earn coins (🪙): 10 for playing a rated match, 25 for winning one, 5 for finishing a 6 loco, 50 for runner-up and 100 for winning a tournament category. Coins are just for fun — they have no money value and can't be bought or cashed out.

Your category

  • Your profile shows your category per region. To change one, pick another value from the dropdown beside it.
  • If you have never played in that region the change applies immediately. Otherwise you give a reason and the support team reviews it.
  • You can't self-assign a category weaker than the strongest one you hold anywhere — that goes to review too.

Chat

  • Messages tab: direct messages, group chats and club conversations (use the Message button on a club's profile). The + New button starts either a DM or a group (name + members).
  • Group admins can add/remove members; anyone can leave.
  • Block a player from a DM header to stop messages both ways. Report an abusive message from the message itself — moderators review it.
  • Stickers: the 🎾 button next to the message box opens your sticker library. Upload your own (WebP, PNG or GIF — made in any sticker app), file them in folders you name, and save a sticker someone sent you with its ⋯ menu. Animated stickers need the latest app version on the phone.

Feed & profile

  • Post text or multi-photo posts (pick several photos, crop each, preview). Like and comment on posts from people and clubs you follow.
  • Double-tap a post to like it — a short countdown ring appears; tap it to cancel before the like lands. Tap a post to open the full-screen viewer with its comments.
  • Your profile shows your avatar (crop + zoom), categories per region, followers/following (tap the counts for the lists, and filter them by name or @username), stats and posts.

Notifications

  • The bell shows in-app alerts (invites, results, schedules, payments, released seats).
  • Chat messages come as push notifications with their own unread badge on the Messages/Chats tab. Tapping a push opens the right screen.

If you also run a club

  • Switch hats from the menu. Each hat shows only its own controls: as a player you join, pay and leave; as club staff you seat players, handle money and cancel. Even on an event you play in, switch hats to switch roles.
